Bates - Takeover on track despite hiccups

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates says the takeover of the club by GFH Capital is on schedule despite a few hiccups.
GFH Capital are due to take 100% control of the club on December 21st and Bates says things are still on schedule.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, "Discussions are continuing. There have been one or two legal hiccups, which have now been resolved, so hopefully we are on schedule."
The long drawn out takeover at Elland Road, which originally was first announced by the club back in May, is now hopefully just a matter of a few days away.
The Bahrain based investment bank finalised a deal to takeover at Leeds on November 21st, starting a one-month transitional period.
David Haigh joined the Leeds board in November after receiving approval from the Football League.
GFH executives Hisham Alrayes and Salem Patel have received approval from the Football League in the last week and they will join the Leeds board upon completion.
Bates will remain at the club until the end of the season as chairman before taking up his new post as the clubs president.
