Warnock - It was a professional performance
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock thought it was professional performance after getting back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at Elland Road.
The Whites responded brilliantly to losing at Derby last week with goals from Jerome Thomas and Paul Green, whilst the defence kept their fourth clean sheet of the season.
Warnock felt it could have been more in the first half with Luciano Becchio guilty of a glaring miss and David Norris having an effort cleared off the line.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I thought it was a good professional performance. I thought we deserved to be more than one up at half time and we missed a couple of great chances.
"We knew Ipswich would come at us in the second half to start with and we were able to whether it in the first fifteen minutes.
"The second goal was a great goal and killed the game. There was good inter-play between the midfield and Jerome Thomas and his ball across to Green to scorer with a great finish."
The win for Leeds against an Ipswich side who had won five of their eight games since the arrival of manager Mick McCarthy and their last three in a row.
Leeds started well and Jerome Thomas scored his first goal for the club with a deft flick on 19 minutes after Tom Lees had won an header inside the penalty area.
Norris then saw his effort cleared off the line and Becchio missed what would normally be meat and drink for the striker, when he headed over with the goal at his mercy on the stroke of half time.
Becchio had another good chance at the start of the second half, this time Henderson in the Ipswich goal producing a good save to deny his header.
The visitors started to get into the game but they were failing to penetrate a well-marshalled Leeds defence with Paddy Kenny having a relatively quiet afternoon in the Leeds goal.
Leeds doubled their lead with just under twenty minutes remaining when a quick break down the left saw Thomas tee up Green and he fired into the roof of the net for his third goal in five games.
Kenny was called upon to make a couple of good saves in the final ten minutes but Leeds were not to be denied their fourth win in five games, a win that lifts them back into the top half of the championship.

The three wins came on the back of one of their heaviest home defeats in their history when Watford beat nine men Leeds 6-1.
The wins against Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Ipswich Town is the first time that Leeds have won three in a row at home since September and October 2011 and Warnock feels the side are turning a corner with their home performances.
Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, "We have to make Elland Road a fortress and I think we are turning the corner. It is not easy for teams to come to Elland Road now."
In recent seasons, Elland Road has been a happy hunting ground for the opposition and last season saw Leeds lose eleven games at home, the worst season in their history.
As well as the six conceded against Watford, since their return to the championship in 2010, Leeds have also conceded six against Preston, five against Blackpool and they suffered their worst ever home defeat against Nottingham Forest in March when Nottingham Forest beat them 7-3.
It was only in 2009 that Leeds set a club record fifteen consecutive wins under former boss Simon Grayson and Warnock will now be hoping that Leeds can have a similar run to climb into the top six in the table and give Warnock the chance of a record breaking eighth career promotion.
