Leeds United Football Club - Gray Offers Chance To Kinkladze
United caretaker manager Eddie Gray has given a two week trial to former Manchester City and Derby County midfield star Georgi Kinkladze.
Gray will run the rule over the 30-year-old whilst deciding whether to offer him a contract until the end of the season. The Georgian international arrived at Thorp Arch earlier in the week after Gray accepted his request to train with The Whites.
Kinkladze left First Division Derby County in the summer after turning down their offer of a new contract, and would be available on a free transfer.
Leeds are to apply for clearance to play Kinkladze in next week's reserves fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers away, which will enable Gray to see him in competitive action.
Kinkladze recently spent a few weeks on trial with Greek side Panathinaikos, but could not agree a deal and is understood to be keen to resume his career in England.
