Leeds’ away kit for the 2022/23 campaign will see the team
line up in a paint-splattered ‘pulse yellow’ and ‘dark blue’ strip.
Unlike the new home kit, Leeds’ change strip will be
available for supporters to buy from Thursday, August 4 although United’s official
press release warns of limited availability in the first drop.
"Season Ticket Holders and Members will be able to
purchase items from 8am with the kit going on general sale from 9am,” a club
spokesperson said.
The Whites will wear their new away strip for the first time
next weekend when they face Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on matchweek two
of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
“The explosion of pulse yellow blended with a dark blue for
the shirt is a modern take on some of our iconic yellow kits from the 70s and
the colour coordinated club crest sits proudly on the chest,” a statement from
Leeds United read.
"The collar of the shirt is a classic V-neck with a
ribbed trim, with matching ribbed sleeve cuffs as you work your way down the
arm.”
Leeds’ new-look tie-dye theme has already divided opinion
amongst supporters on social media who have expressed both their delight and
distaste of the new design.
Shorts and socks will be made of the same ‘dark blue
colourway’ apparent on the shirt.
Modelled by new contract signees Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood
and Crysencio Summerville, the away kit is likely to feature the young trio
more frequently this season as Jesse Marsch looks to integrate the talented
youths.
Leeds’ 2022/23 home kit will not be available to supporters
until ‘late August’.
