Illan Meslier could soon be on his way out of Leeds United after a disastrous end to the season for the goalkeeper at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke dropped the ex-Lorient ace from his starting lineup at the end of the previous campaign as he consistently made glaring errors.

Karl Darlow was trusted at Elland Road, and it would be surprising to see the French shot-stopper retaining his place at the Whites after Premier League promotion.

Galatasaray have wanted to sign Meslier [Omercan Ozmen], and he’s now set to jet away for good soon, with his future likely away from West Yorkshire.

Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Leeds goalkeeper Meslier over a transfer this summer, according to Ajansspor.

The news outlet reported on X (23 June) that the Turkish outfit are set to sign the French shot-stopper to replace Dominik Livakovic.

It’s been claimed that the 25-year-old is expected to travel to Istanbul this weekend, with his stint at Elland Road seemingly coming to an end.

Farke will now undoubtedly want 49ers Enterprises to sign a quality number one at the West Yorkshire outfit as he hopes to save them from immediate relegation.

Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is a target for Leeds this summer, and it makes sense considering his impressive displays on loan at Strasbourg last season.

Southampton shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale is another option for the Whites in the ongoing transfer window, and they’ll be getting a quality player if the Englishman can get back to the form he showed at Arsenal.

While Darlow managed to replace Meslier in between the sticks towards the end of the previous campaign, the Wales international can’t be expected to be the undisputed number one in the top flight.

Leeds have a massive decision to make regarding their next goalkeeper, and that could potentially make or break their campaign.

A good shot-stopper can arguably be the difference in helping the Whites survive the drop next season from the Premier League.

The West Yorkshire outfit have already bolstered their defence with Jaka Bijol and must now focus on signing a new goalkeeper.

Meslier rightly lost his place in the team after some major errors, and it makes sense for him to kickstart his career elsewhere.
