“Finally” – Stuart Dallas gives long-awaited timescale on injury comeback - Leeds Live 31/3/23

Leeds United man Stuart Dallas has finally opened up on when
he expects to be back in action after his injury lay-off.
It’s been another tough season in the Premier League for
Leeds with a relegation battle in store in the final two months of the season.
Injuries haven’t helped the side perform consistently this
season and Leeds have yet to have a fully fit squad this season, due to the fact
Stuart Dallas has been out since April 2022.
What injury does Dallas have?
Dallas has been out ever since the 4-0 defeat at home to
Manchester City 11 months ago, where he suffered a femoral fracture during a
challenge on Jack Grealish.
Since then, it’s been a long road to recovery for the
Northern Ireland international, who has been working hard at Thorp Arch to get
back to fitness.
The utility man underwent another operation on the issue
around the start of 2023, which has complicated matters further with regards to
his return.
When will Dallas be back?
There is still a glimmer of hope for Dallas being back
before the end of the season, though.
That’s according to the player himself, who has spoken to
ITV about how he sees the end to this campaign playing out, with club and
country.
He stated:
“Look I’d love to be back tomorrow morning but I can’t be
so, listen, we can’t say when for sure I’ll be back but I’m aiming towards
obviously the back end of the season and the summer, and then we’ll take it
from there.
“It’s been a long and frustrating period but I feel like I
am finally getting there.”
This is a big boost for Dallas more than it is Leeds.
We’ve had to deal without him for so long now that it’ll be
intriguing to see how he fits back into the group.
Dallas getting back to fitness right in time for the
international break would be huge for him, and gives him a great chance to
return to his best at pre-season.
