Leeds United Football Club - Lennon Targets Long Run

United youngster Aaron Lennon wants to achieve a personal target of playing in all of United's remaining games this season.
The tricky winger is enjoying his football and is looking to make it hard for Kevin Blackwell to even consider leaving him out of the side for the last 15 games.
If he achieves his aim then the 17-year-old will have made 22-starts this season for the Whites and a remarkable 30 appearances in all, including substitutes appearances.
Although admitting he tired towards the end of the last game against Brighton, Lennon believes he's fit enough to keep going until the end of the season.
"I was tired near the end to be fair," he said.
"But it was good for me to play 80 minutes and get my fitness back up because I had missed the game in midweek with a niggling little injury. Hopefully I will be flying for 90 minutes next time.
"I feel fine though and maybe not playing on Wednesday was probably good for me.
"Now I want to try and play every game now until the end of the season. I only really came into the team after Christmas so I feel I can keep going until the end of the season."
Lennon delighted the crowd on Saturday by taking defenders, swinging in crosses and having a go at goal himself and Kevin Blackwell agrees that his performance against Brighton was one of his best.
Said Blackwell:"I thought he did ever so well but just ran out of steam a little at the end.
"He had one or two runs where he was running up blind alleys because he was tired and his mind wasn't as sharp, but once again for a 17-year-old he really gets you off your seat and it's exciting."
Such a display deserved to be capped with a win, but once again, Leeds shot themselves in the foot by failing to kill the Seagulls off and conceding with just ten minutes left.
Lennon knows that the games against the likes of Millwall, Cardiff and Nottingham Forest have all followed the same pattern as the Brighton game, and they've cost the team dearly.
"We deserved to win but when you are only winning one-nil you can't afford to concede at the end, and that's happened too many times. We have to try and keep teams out.
"It's a shame because we're dominating teams, getting the ball into the box and doing everything we should be, but then we're also getting caught out on set-plays or the second balls are dropping and we're not the first to them.
"If we won all our home games we would be flying, we would be in the play-offs but those late goals have killed us."
