HEALY HONOURED
United striker David Healy will be handed the captain's armband for Northern Ireland when he makes his 50th appearance in Finland on Wednesday night.
The former Preston marksman, the country's record goalscorer with 19, will take over from Aaron Hughes in leading out the team for the friendly clash in Helsinki.
United manager Kevin Blackwell says he is delighted to see his pint-sized striker reach the half-century and was quick to hail his achievement.
"It's a phenomenal achievement," said the Leeds boss.
"It's quite right that Lawrie Sanchez is giving him the armband tonight.
"He has worked hard for Northern Ireland and to reach 50 appearances for any country is a real honour. David can be proud of himself."
David isn't the only one who should be proud of himself either says the United manager.
The striker has impressed his boss at Leeds with three hard-working displays this term.
"I'm really pleased with David," said the Leeds manager.
"He's worked very, very hard and I thought he was first class at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
"He's not got the physical stature to deal with two big centre-backs on his own - but he turned in a fantastic performance.
"I brought him off because he was tired in the end, but when you cover the amount of ground he does in a game, you are bound to run out of gas."

HORSFIELD CHARGED BY FA
Leeds' on-loan striker Geoff Horsfield is facing a Football Association misconduct charge after being reported for using abusing and/or insulting words to assistant referee Phil Sharp following his dismissal at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Horsfield has already been handed a three-match ban for the red card he received for clashing with Palace defender Mark Hudson, but now faces an additional charge.
The experienced forward has apologised for his reaction to the sending-off and has until 6pm on Tuesday night to admit or deny the charge with a disciplinary commission due to hear the case next week.
The 32-year-old forward told his club's website www.leedsunited.com: "I apologise for what I said.
"It was in the heat of the moment because I didn't think I deserved to be sent off. I apologise for any offence I may have caused."
Much-travelled striker Horsfield joined the Whites from Sheffield United until Christmas, when boss Kevin Blackwell has the option of signing him on a permanent deal.
