Young midfielder Alex Purver has agreed a new one-year deal at Elland Road.
The 19-year-old will officially sign his new contract when the players return for pre-season training later this summer.
Purver, who signed professional terms last July, progressed through the ranks at Thorp Arch and captained the Under-21s for large parts of 2014/15.
The central midfielder featured 21 times for the United youngsters last season and regularly found himself on the periphery of the first-team.
Purver still awaits his senior United debut but he was part of the travelling squad for last September’s Championship visit to Birmingham City.
He becomes the latest Academy product to agree a new deal at the club after second year scholars Frank Mulhern, Tom Lyman and Bailey Peacock-Farrell all accepted their first professional contract offers.
