We are pleased to announce that second year scholars Frank Mulhern, Tom Lyman and Bailey Peacock-Farrell have all accepted their first professional contracts with the club.
The trio were offered professional terms last month when the club announced its summer retained list for 2015 and they will officially put pen to paper when the squad returns for pre-season training.
Mulhern, an Irish centre-forward, joined the club aged 12 and finished last season as the Under-18s’ top goalscorer after finding the net 13 times in 19 appearances. The 18-year-old also featured for the U21s nine times, scoring four.
Lyman, an attacking midfielder, also featured for both age groups last season and, alongside Jack Vann, made the joint-highest number of appearances for the U18s with 25, scoring six along the way.
Peacock-Farrell, meanwhile, is a highly-rated goalkeeper who joined the club from Middlesbrough in 2013. The 18-year-old’s 2014/15 season was hampered by injury, but he featured 12 times for the U18s, including the FA Youth Cup tie with Chelsea at Elland Road.
