United unveil new gold away kit

Just a couple of weeks away from the opening day of the new season, Leeds United revealed their new away kit, the club’s official website going for dramatic effect under the headline, “Time To Shine,” and continuing with: “The wait is over and our golden treasure has been found.”
The club had used Twitter over the preceding few days to trail #LUFCTreasureHunt, with reference to the fact that the new shirt was largely of a distinctive gold in colour with “navy detailing teamed with navy shorts. The collar of the shirt is a gold and navy rib which is reflected in the socks, completing the kit which will be worn by the team on their travels over the forthcoming season. The shirt and shorts feature a tonal navy and gold crest which can also be seen on the new range of training wear which has already received a great response from supporters… The shirt features the logos of Main Club Sponsor, Enterprise Insurance, and brand new Secondary Shirt Sponsor, Help Link UK"

The Whites are closing in on a deal for a centre-back as Jack Harrison closes on a move to Everton. By Mark Carruthers Leeds United are reportedly closing in on a £10million deal to make Liverpool defender Nat Phillips their fifth summer signing. Daniel Farke has already completed permanent deals for Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu, Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow and former Norwich City full-back Sam Byram. By Callum O'Connell Everton have been in touch with Leeds United again over a potential deal to sign Wilfried Gnonto, but there is no truth to reports claiming a fee has been agreed, according to Shamoon Hafez. The BBC Sports reporter shared via his personal Twitter account that, despite reports in Italy claiming a £38.5million deal had been agreed between the two clubs, the Italian’s valuation has not yet been met. A report from Italian outlet Sports Mediaset earlier today claimed an agreement had been reached, and that Gnonto would say goodbye to Leeds, but that appears to have been played down now.
