Leeds United: Adryan turns on the samba style as United rout Rovers

Yorkshire Evening Post 6/10/14
A SWEET strike just before the interval from Adryan put gloss on a cup cakewalk for Leeds United, who slammed Doncaster Rovers 6-0 to progress to the next round of the Premier League U21 Cup in style.
The Brazilian playmaker raced clear before effortlessly steering the ball home, with fellow overseas recruit Brian Montenegro helping himself to two goals in a rout at Elland Road. Adryan also hit the post with a lovely first-half free-kick in a game which saw Neil Redfearn’s side take the lead early on through a classic centre forward’s header from Montenegro following Luke Booker’s inviting cross.
Leeds doubled their tally shortly before the half-hour mark when Thompson fired home a scorching shot following neat link up play involving Montenegro and Adryan.
Adryan, right, then provided the moment most of the crowd had come to see with another quality goal.
Soon after the restart, the Flamengo loanee teed up Noel Hunt for a stunning curled fourth, the pick of an eye-catching haul on the night.
Skipper Dawson slid in a fifth goal just before the hour from Thompson’s pass and soon after, Montenegro tapped in Hunt’s cross to make it 6-0.
