Warnock looking to loan window before Cardiff trip
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he will be hoping to bring in a midfielder before the trip to Cardiff City when Leeds return to action on Saturday 15th September.
Leeds have no game this weekend due to the international break. Warnock has been hit by the news that midfielder David Norris could be sidelined for around a month and he joins fellow midfielder Paul Green on the sidelines.
Warnock says he needs to strengthen his small squad with Michael Brown also struggling with a hamstring injury. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "Michael Brown has a bit of a hamstring strain as well, so we are a little bit thin at the moment.
"We will be looking at the loan market to see what is available before the Cardiff game."
The injuries in midfield leave just Rodolph Austin, transfer listed Danny Pugh and youngster Zac Thompson with first team experience available in the centre of midfield.
Warnock might be hoping to pick up a player from the Premier League with the top flight clubs naming their 25 man squads at the start of the month.
