Forward recalled from loan at Oxford.

Leeds United can confirm Sonny Perkins has returned to the club, following a loan spell at Sky Bet League One side Oxford United.

The forward has been recalled from his loan at the Kassam Stadium after seeing his playing time limited, making just three league appearances, all from the bench.

The 19-year-old made six appearances in total for the U’s, scoring one goal. He will now return to Thorp Arch to continue his development.

While the first team is preparing for the next friendly against Villarreal, the U21s side, with a host of first team stars, thrashed Norweigian side Lyn 1896 10-2 in a pre-season friendly this afternoon. There were some surprising names on the scoresheet – Patrick Bamford scored, Sam Greenwood netted a brace and Joe Gelhardt scored four goals in the game.
