DARKO GYABI JOINS PLYMOUTH ARGYLE ON LOAN — Leedsunited.com 11/1/24

Leeds United can confirm that Darko Gyabi has joined fellow Sky Bet Championship side Plymouth Argyle on loan, until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

The 19-year-old midfielder heads to The Pilgrims to work under former England Under-20s boss Ian Foster, who was recently appointed head coach Home Park.

Argyle are currently 18th in the table following their promotion from League One last season and the newly appointed Foster is a manager Gyabi knows well, from his time in the England youth set-up.

We would like to wish Darko the best of luck during his time away from the club and we all look forward to seeing his development whilst on the South Coast.

While the first team is preparing for the next friendly against Villarreal, the U21s side, with a host of first team stars, thrashed Norweigian side Lyn 1896 10-2 in a pre-season friendly this afternoon. There were some surprising names on the scoresheet – Patrick Bamford scored, Sam Greenwood netted a brace and Joe Gelhardt scored four goals in the game.
