Cellino: Elland Road, Thorp Arch and Prem League

New Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino says he intends to see the club return to the Premier League in the next two-years after finally gaining control of the club.
Cellino won his appeal on Saturday against the Football League`s ruling to deny him permission to buy a 75 per cent controlling stake of the club from GFH Capital.
An independent QC listened to an appeal from Cellino last Monday and decided in favour of Cellino, allowing him to take control of the club and he wants to see Leeds return to the Premier League having already spent ten-years outside of the top-flight.
The Italian, who is still owner of Italian Serie A side Cagliari says he wants success for the fans who have had to put up with what he called`ten sh**ty years`.
Cellino has also promised to buy back both the Elland Road ground and the training facility at Thorp Arch, something he intends to do in his first week at the club.
The players, who agreed to defer 50 per cent of their wages at the end of last month, will now also be paid in full at the start of the week as Cellino arrives in the country as he starts his reign as new owner of the club. Cellino says he is surprised manager Brian McDermott hasn`t resigned.
Cellino, who won his appeal against the Football League to take over at the club on Saturday, as sacked Brian McDermott already once at Elland Road back in January.
The eccentric 57-year-old who has a history of sacking managers during his time with Italian side Cagliari sacked McDermott on the final day of the transfer window in January only for GFH Capital to reinstate him the following day.
Results have continued to decline in 2014, the 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic on Saturday was a seventh in eight games, and they have now won just three of their last twenty-one games.
Cellino speaking in the Sun Newspaper admits he is surprised that McDermott, who has been in charge at Elland Road one-year on Saturday, hasn`t left the club by now. "I have to get to work and fast.
"I want to call Brian now I have the chance to talk to him properly and find out what has been going on.
""The squad needs work, yes, but seven defeats in eight games - It is unbelievable.
"To be honest I have been asking myself, 'why doesn`t he resign?` because Brian is a proud man and results have not been good enough."
Cellino is set to arrive in England on Monday as he sets about rebuilding Leeds United as he looks for a way to return the club to the Premier League for the first time following their relegation in 2004.
Leeds are next in action at Watford on Tuesday and it will be interesting to see if McDermott will still be with the club for the trip to Vicarage Road.
