LUFC Takeover seems no nearer

BBC Radio Leeds have reported that prospective new owner Massimo Cellino has met with manager Brian McDermott and Managing Director David Haigh in the last few days but his takeover at the club seems no nearer.
Cellino has been in Britain for the last week after meeting with the Football League last week as he still waits for approval for his proposed 75% majority stake in the club from current owners GFH Capital.
The Football League reported last week that they were still waiting for all the documentation they required before they could go any further with the fit and proper person test. BBC Radio Leeds have also reported that the Premier League have not been in contact with the Football League after it had been rumoured that they were not happy with Cellino and would not accept him in the Premier League.
Despite this now entering a third week, it still looks like it could be a while before Cellino knows if he will be accepted by the Football League and be able to invest his money into Leeds United.
Fellow consortium 'Together Leeds` are still believed to be waiting in the wings if Cellino is turned down.
