Ross McCormack has told Leeds fans he will see them on Saturday despite being heavily linked with a move away from the club.
The departure of Leeds boss has Brian McDermott had plunged the future of the Championship's top scorer in doubt, with former club Cardiff offering £5million for his services.
But McCormack Tweeted late on Friday night just minutes before the 11pm deadline., saying: 'Lets all be united tomorrow. An unreal atmosphere and 3 points and move this great club forward. See yous tomorrow!'
The Scot earlier said on Friday that he was pledging his future to the club and looking forward to playing under McDermott, but McCormack was unsure of his future with Leeds after news of sacking, though admitted with three hours left of the window that a move looked unlikely.
But it is thought that six clubs have been in contact with McCormack's agent since McDermott's sacking, including his old club Cardiff who have revived their £5million bid for the striker.
West Ham and Sunderland were also believed to be interested in the Scot.
He told Sky Sports News with three hours remaining of the transfer window: 'If this had happened earlier I would have had a decision to make.
'I can't see anything happening, the club have said they're not going to sell me, if that changes in the next couple hours or not we'll see. 'I can't believe it, it's the last day of the transfer window, it's incredible, I can't believe what's happened, I'm lost for words.
McCormack continued: 'It's hard times at the club.
'I'm very happy and content at the club but I think a big part of that was to work with Brian McDermott.
'To be honest I'm absolutely gutted, I had a close relationship with the manager. Up to a couple hours ago I was looking toward to working with Brian McDermott. Things have changed a lot quicker than we can imagine.
McCormack said he had earlier spoken to McDermott, and continued: 'I think he was a little bit surprised in terms of how quick it happened, the owners have come in and obviously want to take it in a different direction and that's up to them.
'On behalf of the players I'd like to thank the gaffer and what he's done.'
The news of the McDermott's sacking comes at the end of a dramatic day at Elland Road which saw the club's ownership issues thrust into the spotlight.
United are in the midst of a takeover, which it is understood will be completed by the Italian Massimo Cellino, and throughout the week it has quickly become apparent that McDermott was not his man.
McCormack had pledged his future to the club earlier on Friday, and said before the news of McDermott's departure: 'I am really happy at Leeds and look forward to staying at the club,' he said.
'I'm club captain and I look forward to continue playing at the club under Brian McDermott for the rest of the season.'
Shortly after hearing the news of McDermott's sacking, he Tweeted: 'Most pointless statement I've ever given !'
