Derby County complete signing of Leeds United defender Warnock - Football League World 12/1/15

Derby County have completed the signing of Leeds United defender Stephen Warnock, according to FLW sources.
FLW reported the news that Warnock was the subject of an enquiry from the Rams and Reading, however FLW understands he has now completed his move to the iPro Stadium.
The 33-year-old has been at the Yorkshire club since 2013 and his contract runs out at Elland Road at the end of the season, so the club have cashed in on the experienced defender before he would have been a free transfer.
Warnock has gone on to make over 55 appearances for the Yorkshire club, also becoming the club captain this season.
The left-back started his career at Liverpool and he went on to make over 40 appearances for the Merseyside club in a spell which lasted five years.
In 2007, Warnock joined Blackburn Rovers and there he went on to accrue 88 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.
Leeds United have been linked with a move for former Whites legend Luciano Becchio and Redfearn could make a move for him this transfer window, as reported on FLW.
The Leeds United manager has also not ruled out a move for former striker Jermaine Beckford.
Leeds United currently sit in 21st position in the Sky Bet Championship, having accrued 25 points from 25 league games.
The Elland Road outfit face Birmingham City at home on Saturday and Leeds fans will be hoping for a win to propel them up the division.
However, Gary Rowett’s Birmingham City are in fine form of late, so they will certainly be a tough fixture for Neil Redfearn’s outfit.
