Leeds United have already surpassed a huge milestone in ticket sales for the forthcoming Elland Road clash against Manchester City's under-23s - with one week still to go.

The Whites under-23s will face City's under-23s in their final home league game of the season next Friday night and Leeds are hoping to rival the current record attendance for a Premier League Two game.

Everton currently hold that record with a gate of 16,935 and Leeds had already sold 10,000 tickets for the City clash by Wednesday afternoon.

Tickets are priced at £6 for adults or £3 for concessions and are available at the club website HERE United's under-23s currently sit fourth-bottom in Premier League Two Division One with three games left.

Andy Taylor's young side are four points clear of the drop zone but have played one game more than second -bottom Chelsea.

United's under-23s will take in their third last game of the season away at ninth-placed Brighton on Friday afternoon (kick-off 2pm).

Leeds United board break silence after transfer window with statement on upcoming Elland Road development — YEP 2/9/24

By Joe Donnohue Leeds United have confirmed supporters' commemorative stones at Elland Road's Centenary Square will be replaced free of charge in a bid to improve their longevity. Beginning next month, Leeds supporters' personalised stones will be replaced with exact replicas, courtesy of a new company, to ensure of a 'much better quality' installation. The work is expected to take around two months to complete. An official club statement confirmed 'three larger stones dedicated to former managers Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa' will also be installed, 'similar to those located in Bremner Square', while additional space for supporters to purchase new stones has also been factored into the project. “The club have taken on board recent feedback from supporters on the stones at Centenary Square, and we are really happy that we can now announce that all of the stones will be replaced," chief executive Angus Kinnear confirmed,...

While the first team is preparing for the next friendly against Villarreal, the U21s side, with a host of first team stars, thrashed Norweigian side Lyn 1896 10-2 in a pre-season friendly this afternoon.
