Goalkeeper signs new deal and makes temporary switch.

Leeds United goalkeeper Elia Caprile has today completed a loan move to Aurora Pro Patria 1919 until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who joined the club from Chievo in January 2020, last season made 18 appearances for Mark Jackson’s Under-23 side, which won the Premier League 2 Division 2 title.

He will now continue his development in his native Italy and look to gain first team experience with the Serie C side.

Ahead of completing his loan move, Caprile signed a new three-year-deal at Elland Road, committing his future to the Whites until the summer of 2024.

While the first team is preparing for the next friendly against Villarreal, the U21s side, with a host of first team stars, thrashed Norweigian side Lyn 1896 10-2 in a pre-season friendly this afternoon. There were some surprising names on the scoresheet – Patrick Bamford scored, Sam Greenwood netted a brace and Joe Gelhardt scored four goals in the game.
